Didrex Dosage
Didrex medication is to be taken once daily,
swallowed whole, in midmorning. As Didrex may cause
sleeplessness avoid taking it late in the day. Do not
increase your dose or take it more often than prescribed
because this diet pill can be habit forming. Take this
medication as prescribed.
Missed Dose:
If you miss a dose of Didrex, take it as soon as possible.
But do not take 2 doses at once, doubling up of the
medicine is a strict No!
Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison
control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms
of overdose may include restlessness, tremor, rapid
breathing, confusion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and
stomach cramps.
Storage
- Didrex must be stored at room temperature away from
heat and light.
- Do NOT store Didrex in the bathroom, near the kitchen
sink, or in other damp places. Heat or moisture may
cause the medicine to break down.
- Do NOT keep outdated medicine past the expiry date.
- Didrex should be kept out of children's reach.
Duration of Usage:
Didrex is meant for short-term use. It helps you to
start losing weight and then keep on going, when you
are ready to carry on. Don't think that continuous use
will increase the benefits of the pill, as your body
starts to build up a resistance to the effects of this
medication after a few weeks of treatment. It is always
advised not to get addicted to it.
Didrex Side Effects
Usage of Didrex may in some cases lead to:
Blurred vision, Dry mouth, Sleeplessness ,Irritability,
Stomach upset or constipation, Other adverse events
include central nervous system effects, gastrointestinal
disturbances, and changes in libido. Notify your doctor
if you experience chest pain, nervousness, pounding
heart, difficulty urinating, mood changes, breathing
difficulties, swelling. If this medication makes you
dizzy or lightheaded, avoid driving or engaging in activities
requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not
listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Dosage : Do not exceed the recommended
dose or take this medicine for longer than prescribed
without checking with your doctor. Exceeding the recommended
dose or taking this medicine for longer than prescribed
may cause serious Side Effects.
- Driving and Hazardous Work : Didrex
may dizziness or make you less alert than normal .Do
not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous
until you know how you react to Didrex .
- Alcohol : Alcohol may increase
unwanted side effects of dizziness, therefore, it
is advisable to limit alcohol use while taking Didrex
(or other appetite suppressants).
- Medical Conditions : Tell your
doctor your complete medical history, especially if
you have: high blood pressure, an over-active thyroid,
glaucoma, diabetes, emotional problems.
- Breast Feeding - Use of Didrex
(or other appetite suppressants) while breast-feeding
is NOT recommended; it may pass into breast milk,
causing unwanted effects in nursing babies. Please
consult your doctor for advice.
Do not miss any medical appointments while taking the
drug and before any medical or dental treatments, emergency
care, or surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you
are using Didrex. Do not share this medicine with others
for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use Didrex for
other health conditions. Keep Didrex out of the reach
of children.
Drug Interactions:
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact
with this medicine. Inform your doctor or pharmacist
of all medicine that you are taking. Do not use this
medicine if you are also taking furazolidone, guanadrel,
guanethidine, or monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions,
allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Contact your
doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns
about using this medicine
